Warwick Chemicals is the world’s largest supplier of tetracetylethylenediamine (TAED) under the MykonTM brand name. TAED is a Bleach activator widely used in washing powders, automatic dishwashing and biocidal products.
In addition to cleaning, peracetic acid produced from TAED and hydrogen peroxide is also powerful broad-spectrum biocide. It kills bacteria, viruses and spores, keeping clothes, dishes and the machines themselves hygienically clean and odour-free. Additionally, it helps maintain fabric whiteness and destroys allergens that can cause hay fever.
TAED is biodegradable and non-toxic, and can be used in Nordic Swan products and has been awarded the EPA’s Safer Choice label. It is also BPR approved.
Warwick Chemicals became part of Lubrizol Corporation’s Home Care business on 31 December 2014 and in addition to TAED now also offer a broad range of novel ingredients such as builders, rheology modifiers, fabric softening and surface modification.
