We are 100% sure that face to face meetings will return and be part of our private and business life. There is nothing that can replace sitting at an exhibition booth having a conversation or listening to a presentation and feel the vibes in the auditorium.

The 67th SEPAWA® CONGRESS starts in about 4 months from 28 – 30 October 2020 in Berlin. For many exhibitors and visitors, now is the time for preparations. Some are wondering what implications the Corona crisis has for the event.
Recently the German federal government has extended the ban for big events until 24th of October. The individual federal countries can adapt the rules according to the individual situation. For the time being, the currently valid regulation from the Berlin senate can be found here.
According to these regulations, events of up to 1,000 visitors on the floor simultaneously can already take place from October 1, 2020. After October 24, no regulations have been issued yet, but we are confident that further easing of the restrictions will come. As all participants are registered, full control of the numbers is always guaranteed. Therefore, the SEPAWA® CONGRESS 2020 is scheduled as originally planned.
The board and organizers are of course considering all possible scenarios and have included all important safety standards in our planning.
In addition to the standard measures, such as disinfectants and the provision of mouth and nose protection masks, we are planning further precautions to protect the health and planning security of all participants.
Due to the spacious premises in the Estrel Congress Center, we are in the comfortable position to react to any possible governmental rules of distance and conduct with additional space and to adapt the event accordingly. We have already created floorplans including a second available hall, so that ample space for visitors and exhibitors alike can be provided. In the event that it is required by the authorities, it is also possible to track contact persons at any time through the registration of all participants.
Together with the Estrel congress management, we are currently working out a hygiene concept with various scenarios and seating and conference rooms, which will enable us to implement all potential safety standards and the best possible protection and to allow for social distancing in the conference rooms. These health precautions have led us to the decision to suspend the popular after event and get-together in its previous form this year.
With all these considerations and forward planning, we are of course subject to the further development of the Corona crisis. We all trust that the situation will again have eased considerably in four months’ time and that further steps towards normality will have been taken. Our team will react quickly and flexibly to all developments.
We can assure all SEPAWA® friends that the maximum of health safety for all visitors is of paramount importance to us. We are convinced that the 67th SEPAWA® CONGRESS will also be the new beginning of the industry in terms of personal communication and customer loyalty.

Not only did we celebrate the 66th anniversary of the SEPAWA® CONGRESS in 2019, but we also managed to increase the number of visitors by 9% and thus achieved a second success.
Last year we opened our doors to almost 3,300 visitors.

The exhibition space for the 66th SEPAWA Congress in Berlin has been completely sold out! Despite increasing the space compared to last year, not one single booth is left available. Almost 300 companies – among them 61 new companies – from 64 countries will be exhibiting in Berlin, making the SEPAWA exhibition the most comprehensive event for Home Care, Personal Care and Fragrances worldwide.
With a focus on these three fields, detergent, cosmetic and fragrance formulators, buyers and R&D specialists have ample ways to meet their business in Berlin.
More than 110 conference speakers complete the vast offer of information.
“The SEPAWA Congress is the place to be, to meet ingredient suppliers and service providers in a communicative atmosphere. Here you meet peers and discuss business in a relaxed mood.”, says Robert Fischer, PR Manager of SEPAWA e.V..
Moreover, the SEPAWA Congress is one of the most sustainable events of its kind and size in the industry. The limited stand space and shell scheme principle results in almost 80% of the exhibition material being used for many years, thereby reducing garbage and plastic waste effectively.

Already, nearly 300 exhibition booths have been sold on this year’s SEPAWA Congress. “We knew that there is a high demand, but we hadn’t realized that even the additional booths would sell out so quickly”, marvels Dr. Lothar Möhle, Chairman of SEPAWA e.V.
With the move to Berlin, the exhibition area has almost doubled, allowing space for an additional 100 booths.
Suspense continues as new companies from the waiting list have the chance to participate and enrich the exhibition with their offers.

SEPAWA Congress, the largest event for the detergent, cosmetics and personal care and fragrance industries in Europe, will move to Berlin as of 2017.
This year the SEPAWA Congress will complete 7 successful years in Fulda. The size of the exhibition and the number of attendants have grown to a level which makes it necessary to change to a larger venue.
“The SEPAWA Congress has now reached a size which compels us as organizers to react and offer the best possible conditions to our exhibitors and visitors. Therefore the SEPAWA’s executive board has decided to move the event from 2017 to the Estrel Hotel & Congress Center in Berlin. This new venue offers more than 1,000 hotel rooms, large and fully equipped exhibition halls, up-to-date conference facilities and many hospitality rooms. The unique selection of international restaurants and large catering areas in-house will make it possible to satisfy the growing number of participants in a short period of time.” says Klaus-Peter Wittern, SEPAWA’s 1st Chairman.
The SEPAWA Congress is visited by over 2,500 attendants and the Exhibition has grown to 234 exhibitors with a waiting list of interested companies. The venue in Berlin can satisfy all needs of visitors and exhibitors alike. The German capital is an attractive location with a multi-cultural population – the ideal place to host this prestigious event in the future.
The first SEPAWA Congress to be held in Berlin is from 18th – 20th October 2017.
The next SEPAWA Congress takes place in Fulda from 12th – 14th October 2016.
