… a pretty crazy year for all of us. Covid-19 forced us all to be very flexible and to react on rapidly changing circumstances. We asked a lot from our visitors, speakers and exhibitors. To switch over to a completely virtual event within only 2,5 weeks was more than a challenge.
With our first SEPAWA® CONGRESS VIRTUAL we walked a new way and despite all obstacles with a very satisfying result.

Dear attendees, for 66 years the SEPAWA® CONGRESS has been a continuous success story. Now a pandemic with its consequences has seized the world and our congress is not spared. The rapid recent developments of Covid-19 infections in Berlin and the consequences that parts of Berlin – such as the district Neukölln, where the ECC ESTREL Convention Center is located – have been declared risk areas and hotspots, have prompted the SEPAWA® Executive Board to reassess the situation.
Although the ECC ESTREL Congress Centre is able to comply with all current hygiene regulations, the health and safety of our members and friends is certainly more important than any congress. Furthermore, we want to avoid that returnees from Berlin might have to go into quarantine. These regulations in Schleswig-Holstein and Rheinland-Pfalz – and possibly in the future other federal states – as well as entry restrictions from countries that have or are risk areas, led to a massive wave of cancellations by our exhibitors in the last few days.
It is to be feared that this situation will worsen in the near future. As a result, a sustainable and successful live congress 2020 in Berlin would no longer be possible, which we very much regret.
The SEPAWA® board has therefore decided, despite considerable economic losses and costs, to hold the 67th SEPAWA® CONGRESS exclusively virtually. Nearly all presentations and exhibitors can be visited on the virtual platform. You will receive further information about this shortly and also on our website you will find information about the online congress.
We ask our members and friends to support this virtual congress with their participation and make it a success within the circumstances. In the past the non-profit SEPAWA® e.V. has contributed significantly to the effective exchange and networking of our members and congress participants and has also financially supported and promoted many projects for further education and training. This remains the goal of our association.
We hope that you will continue to remain loyal to us with your support and look forward to a live reunion in 2021.

The wait is over: Online registration for this year’s SEPAWA® CONGRESS HYBRID 2020 is now open.
Each onsite ticket also allows you access to the virtual version of the SEPAWA® CONGRESS. This year there is also the possibility to participate in the congress via internet only. This is possible on all browser-based devices. We recommend desktop or tablet. With mobile devices such as mobile phone or tablet, you can additionally use the SEPAWA 2020 App as a registered participant.
No onsite registration possible.
This year, due to the current situation, it will not be possible to purchase the ticket upon registration. We therefore ask you to complete and pay for your ticket well in advance via the online registration. You will then receive the entrance badge by email and bring it with you, preferably already printed out. Badge holders and lanyards will be available for you on site.

Sorry, we have kept you waiting, but now it’s time – we present our new digital platform in a small manual. There you can find out more about your possibilities and where you can find the individual tools.
Whether it’s a lecture, a trade fair stand or new networking options such as our Matchmaking or Networking Carrousel, we make it easier for you to make new contacts. Chat with other participants and take part in video calls, note down details about your conversation partner in the notes and use your contacts for follow-up after the event. Our new digital platform in combination with our SEPAWA® CONGRESS App offers you this and many more possibilities.
But this is not all:

2020 will be a historic year for the global community. Never before has a virus changed the world`s affairs this dramatically. Events and B2B congresses are affected and their character will change for the immediate future.
The SEPAWA® organizing team has already implemented a number of innovative steps to make this event safe for our delegates and enable a multitude to participate online.
The first SEPAWA® CONGRESS HYBRID may be a stepping stone for a new concept of B2B meetings. And you as our exhibitors are part of this revolution and will gain first hand experience!
To make the 67th SEPAWA® CONGRESS even more secure for the health of all participants, we had to draw a new floor plan with wider walkways, greater distances and defined one-way traffic.
Please find attached this revised plan. We have preassigned your position and kindly ask for understanding that in this situation a free selection cannot be offered.

We are 100% sure that face to face meetings will return and be part of our private and business life. There is nothing that can replace sitting at an exhibition booth having a conversation or listening to a presentation and feel the vibes in the auditorium.
With very little opportunity to meet in person until now, the upcoming SEPAWA® CONGRESS in Berlin will become the highlight for the Home – & Personal Care industry. The SEPAWA® CONGRESS is the platform to introduce the innovations and to present them to clients. And many will want to attend to get first-hand information and experience face to face meetings with peers and find ad-hoc conversations leading to business opportunities.

The 67th SEPAWA® CONGRESS starts in about 4 months from 28 – 30 October 2020 in Berlin. For many exhibitors and visitors, now is the time for preparations. Some are wondering what implications the Corona crisis has for the event.
Recently the German federal government has extended the ban for big events until 24th of October. The individual federal countries can adapt the rules according to the individual situation. For the time being, the currently valid regulation from the Berlin senate can be found here.
According to these regulations, events of up to 1,000 visitors on the floor simultaneously can already take place from October 1, 2020. After October 24, no regulations have been issued yet, but we are confident that further easing of the restrictions will come. As all participants are registered, full control of the numbers is always guaranteed. Therefore, the SEPAWA® CONGRESS 2020 is scheduled as originally planned.
The board and organizers are of course considering all possible scenarios and have included all important safety standards in our planning.
In addition to the standard measures, such as disinfectants and the provision of mouth and nose protection masks, we are planning further precautions to protect the health and planning security of all participants.
Due to the spacious premises in the Estrel Congress Center, we are in the comfortable position to react to any possible governmental rules of distance and conduct with additional space and to adapt the event accordingly. We have already created floorplans including a second available hall, so that ample space for visitors and exhibitors alike can be provided. In the event that it is required by the authorities, it is also possible to track contact persons at any time through the registration of all participants.
Together with the Estrel congress management, we are currently working out a hygiene concept with various scenarios and seating and conference rooms, which will enable us to implement all potential safety standards and the best possible protection and to allow for social distancing in the conference rooms. These health precautions have led us to the decision to suspend the popular after event and get-together in its previous form this year.
With all these considerations and forward planning, we are of course subject to the further development of the Corona crisis. We all trust that the situation will again have eased considerably in four months’ time and that further steps towards normality will have been taken. Our team will react quickly and flexibly to all developments.
We can assure all SEPAWA® friends that the maximum of health safety for all visitors is of paramount importance to us. We are convinced that the 67th SEPAWA® CONGRESS will also be the new beginning of the industry in terms of personal communication and customer loyalty.
